SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

As an AI/ML Developer for Computed Tomography Baggage Scanning at IDSS Corp., you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models to enhance the capabilities of our CT-based baggage screening systems. Working closely with our engineering and research teams, you will leverage AI and ML techniques to improve threat detection accuracy, reduce false alarms, and enhance operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of transportation infrastructure on a global scale.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and computer vision techniques.

  • Experience with image processing and analysis, particularly in the context of CT or X-ray imaging.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.

  • Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or scikit-learn.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GPU (Cuda) computing techniques.

  • Experience with baggage screening technologies and security systems, including CT-based scanners.

  • Knowledge of threat detection algorithms and techniques for identifying prohibited items and potential security threats.

  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk, bend; stoop down; twist, turn, and work in unusual positions requiring full body mobility, and use hands to finger and reach with hands and arms. Must also be able to do the following:

  • Lift items up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

  • Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working with radiation. Dosage monitoring is required.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • This is a full-time, exempt position scheduled for 40 hours per week. Must be available and remain flexible to accommodate.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to complete DHS Public Trust Background Check.

  • Ability to obtain government clearance
